S4 Financial is proud to sponsor the Hartley Wintney Cricket Club Ladies Team in their upcoming tour from 7-10 May for theWomen’s Softball Cricket Festival taking place at Desert Springs Resort in Almeria, Spain.
The event will see 14 six-a-side teams split into two leagues of seven, with each side playing the other six. The winner and runner-up in each league will go on to compete in the semi-finals and final. The festival is also a celebration of inclusive sport, welcoming players of different ages and abilities, and promoting a supportive environment where everyone can take part and enjoy the game.
Hartley Wintney will be taking two teams to the event, led by captains Rachel Dean and Jo Clyne. The tour plays an important role in bringing people together, strengthening connections and creating shared experiences that extend beyond the game itself. It also reflects the club’s commitment to inclusiveness, ensuring opportunities for participation are open to all and helping to create a culture where every player feels valued and supported. It provides a valuable opportunity for players to test themselves in a new environment while enjoying a well-organised and competitive schedule.
Rachel Dean says that both teams are looking forward to the event:
“It’s a great event and a fantastic opportunity. The fact that we’re taking two teams reflects the strength of the club, its inclusive nature and the role we play in the wider community. Encouraging more women and girls to get involved in cricket is something I’m really passionate about, and initiatives like #HerGameToo are helping to raise awareness and make the sport more welcoming for everyone.
“We’re very grateful for S4’s sponsorship and it would be great to see the firm’s logo on the shirts of both teams in the final!”
S4 Financial’s Managing Director Steven Vallery says that it’s important to support the local community:
“Many of our clients live in Hartley Wintney and the surrounding villages, so we are very much a ‘local’ firm. We believe that it’s really important to ‘give something back’.
“We work closely with clients to provide tailored, long-term financial planning, helping them make informed decisions with confidence. Supporting a local club in this way is an extension of that approach – building relationships, investing in people and contributing to the communities of which the business is a part. Good luck to both teams!”
